In order to be considered for any award, you must:
- be affiliated with either the AHEPA family or the Greek Orthodox Church within the jurisdiction of the Greater Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area
- be a graduating high school senior
- have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 ("B") or better
- have participated in extra curricular activities and/or lettered or received awards in varsity interscholastic sports
Students who meet these requirements will be honored at this year's Awards Program.
Your application packet must be sent by U.S. Mail only and postmarked no later than April 2, 2008. It must include three copies of your completed application, official transcripts, SAT or ACT results and a personal statement describing what you consider to be the most significant accomplishment(s) of your high school career. The statement you provide will also be used as the basis for your introduction at the Awards Program. Please take care in crafting this statement so that it is concise (no more than 100 words) and reflects truthfully and positively upon you. Your application must also contain the required signatures which demonstrate your eligibility for the Program.
You will be notified of your eligibility, by U.S. Mail, approximately ten (10) days after the deadline. Good luck!!!!
