(GOYA)

The Greek Orthodox Youth of America (GOYA) is a ministry of the Church, whose mission is to strengthen the relationship of young Orthodox Christians with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. GOYA is open to all youth between the ages of 13-18. It follows guidelines established by the Archdiocese Department of Youth that informs and directs the GOYA ministry through four characteristics, which are worship, fellowship, service and witness.

GOYA teenagers experience Worship by: participating in prayer, participating in Divine Services, serving as Altar Boys, singing in the choir and reading the Bible.

GOYA teenages experience Fellowship by: participating in ethnic church dancing, volunteering at church festivals, helping the parish, attend church and other GOYA activities, participate in outings with other churches.

GOYA teenages experience Service by: offering personal stewardship- giving of their time, talent and treasure to church and local charities, volunteering in the community, working with the JOY group.

GOYA teenagers experience Witness by: learning about Christ's teaching and following them, welcoming newcomers, teaching the younger children about Christ's work.

There are many fun activities planned for GOYA over the next few months . Come on out and join us!
