RESURRECTIONAL APOLYTIKION

The women disciples of the Lord heard from the angel the joyful news of the Resurrection and the repeal of the sentence imposed upon our forefathers. With pride they said to the Apostles, “Death is vanquished. Christ our God is risen, bestowing upon the world His great mercy.”

Tonight at 6 pm we will be having the Vespers of Forgiveness, for the beginning of the Great Lent. There will be a Vespers and Presanctified Liturgy this Wednesday evening at 7 pm and again on Friday morning at 9 am. The First Salutations to the Theotokos will be Friday evening at 7 pm. There will be a G.O.Y.A. meeting next Sunday after the Divine Liturgy.

The Ladies Philoptochos would like to thank everyone who helped make last week’s membership luncheon a big success! A second tray will be passed today to help the Ladies Philoptochos’ philanthropic support of the Holy Cross Academy.

An Oratorical Workshop will be held this Saturday at 12:00 pm. All children who are participating in this years’ Oratorical Festival and their parents are invited to attend this meeting and receive guidance and pointers on making your work better.
