Your birth, O Theotokos, brought joy to the whole world, for from you dawned the sun of righteousness, Christ our God. Freeing us from the curse, He gave us His blessings. Abolishing death, He granted us eternal life.

Lord, save your people and bless Your inheritance, granting our rulers to prevail over adversaries, and protecting Your commonwealth by Your Cross.

There will be a Divine Liturgy this Wednesday morning at 9 am in honor of the Annunciation of the Theotokos. On Friday morning at 9 am there will be a Pre-sanctified Divine Liturgy. The Fourth Salutations to the Theotokos will be Friday evening at 7 pm.

Our Festival is just around the corner! There are sign-up sheets at the coffee hour today for those of you who wish to volunteer. If you have any questions please see a Parish Council member for more information.

By now you have received the Notification of a General Assembly to be held next Sunday March 29^th, after the Divine Liturgy.

The letter for the names for the Easter Card has gone out. If you need an extra copy of the order form see Maxine. Please return these as soon as possible.

There will be a G.O.Y.A. meeting today after the Divine Liturgy.

 The Ladies Philoptochos would like to thank everyone who helped to make last week’s Lenten Luncheon a success. There will also be a Senior Citizens Luncheon on Saturday March 28^th. Please come and help support their philanthropic endeavors.

Attention graduating high school seniors!

Student scholarship applications are now available for the Washington Metropolitan Area 40^th Annual AHEPA Awards. Students should be affiliated with either the AHEPA family or with a Greek Orthodox Church within the jurisdiction of the Greater Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. The deadline to submit your student application is April 3, 2009.
